About Us
At Vayu Energy Mauritanie SUARL, we are driving one of the most ambitious renewable energy projects in West Africa, a 15 gigawatt (GW) hybrid development combining 10 GW wind and 5 GW solar photovoltaic (PV). Spread across 2,100 square kilometres (km²) near Boulenouar, this initiative is structured in five phases, beginning in 2026.
For phase 1 alone a 2 GW wind farm and 1 GW solar facility are expected to generate a 50–55% capacity utilisation factor (CUF) from wind and a 30–35% CUF from solar, making it one of the most efficient renewable clusters worldwide.
Beyond energy generation, the project commits $13.75 billion USD in investment, unlocking 10,000 jobs during construction and 1,500 permanent roles post-commissioning. Alongside energy, we build opportunities, from local infrastructure upgrades and vocational training to healthcare and education support, ensuring sustainability is both an environmental and social promise.
